Wendy embarked on her journey with Roche in August 2023, bringing with her over 20 years of South African healthcare experience. Throughout her career, Wendy has been dedicated to making a positive impact on patients' lives. Prior to joining Roche, she held diverse roles at Lundbeck, starting as a medical representative in 2002 and eventually assuming the position of County Manager in 2019.
Her career in the pharmaceutical industry began at Janssen-Cilag, where she completed a graduate program before moving to MSD between 2001 and 2002.
Her academic background includes an Honours in Biotechnology from the University of the Western Cape. Wendy has further expanded her qualifications in Business Management, Marketing, and Leadership through esteemed programs, including those at Lutzen in Switzerland.
As a proud South African, Wendy is filled with optimism for our passionate, diverse, and resilient country. She envisions a future where healthcare is truly patient-centered and accessible to all patients across South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Beyond her work at Roche, Wendy enjoys spending time with her family, indulging in her love for reading, running, swimming, and keeping up to date with politics.
Dorah joined Roche in August 2019 as Regulatory Affairs Manager and was promoted to the Head of Regulatory Affairs in July 2021. Before joining Roche, Dorah worked as a Manager Clinical Trials at the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority for 5 years. Prior to that, Dorah worked at the National Department of Health as a Pharmaceutical Policy Specialist; South African Pharmacy Council as a Manager CPD and Registrations and later Manager Education and Training: Quality Assurance in the same organization.
Dorah holds Doctor of Pharmacy (Rhodes) degree, Masters of Business Leadership (SBL, Unisa), Masters in Medical Law and Ethics (UP), Bachelor of Pharmacy (UL) and Certificate in Total Quality Management (Unisa). During her leisure time, Dorah enjoys painting artwork and spending time with family and friends.
Michael joined Roche in February 2019 as the Head of Legal and Compliance. Prior to joining Roche, Michael was at Pfizer for four years where he held the position of Associate Legal Director and was responsible for legal strategy and direction for Sub-Saharan Africa. Before that he was in practice at DLA Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr. Michael is an admitted attorney and notary and holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa
